Welcome!
Ms. Chernov's contact information:
Help:
I am available for help during J-blocks at the room room 4207
and by appointments on most of the school days.
( [email protected]).
Guidelines to success for my students:
Stay organized throughout the School Year.
Make a song out of your material, you will be surprised at how much faster you will learn. For best results have it rhyme and use a tune you already know.
Always eat a healthy meal or snack, such as fruits, vegetables, yogurt, etc. before an exam or test.
If you have finals, prepare from day one of class. Keep notes clear, and note what is asked on tests. Also be sure to flip back once in a while to check how you've remembered things.
Try to balance all areas of your life, if you're having trouble socially or not getting along with your friends or family, you might feel too emotionally stressed out to do stuff like your homework.
Know the syllabus. You can not get an A if you do not know what is required to get an A.
Study in 60 minutes intervals to avoid fatigue. 50 minutes on, 10 minutes off .
If you have a whole weekend to study for say finals, it's ok to go out with your friends one of those nights. It gives you something to look forward to when the weekend comes and will make you feel that you weren't just around books the whole time. It will help you de-stress.
And finally, "A" student won't be involved in all the latest school gossip or cheating. Try to encourage others not to do it. Instead, please do the following: SAT Question of the Day
